I am an East Midlands (Nottingham/Sutton - in - Ahsfield/Shirebrook) based actor who has a keen interest in all things Shakespeare and has a particular love for British film and television.
I have a BA(Hons) degree in Drama from Lincoln School of Performing Arts at the University of Lincoln. Whilst studying here, I covered such topics as the Histories of Theatre, Early Modern Drama, Restoration to Melodrama, Writing and Devising, Stage Management, Multimedia performance, Global Theatre and Post Modern British Drama. I was also involved in a number of different productions throughout the 3 years from Wilde to Mamet, Shakespeare to Brecht and Chekhov to Christopher Hampton. Since finishing University I have worked for a participatory arts company called Junction Arts and I was also involved in Nottingham Playhouse's world premier of Ibsens' The League of Youth which was part of the NEAT '11 festival. I have also recently just finished a year long training programme with New Perspectives Theatre Company's STEP UP Creatives, which concluded with a mini tour of Goldfish - A piece created by the STEP UP Creatives Ensemble from a selection of the winning scripts from the DREAM UP Writing Competition.
