Bluecat Screenplay Contest 2019 - Short Screenplay Category - Judge's Feedback:

"This script beautifully wove together two incredibly distinctive narratives in a way that felt original and unexpected. The dialogue between characters felt true to the settings in which they were written, and the historical aspect seemed well-informed.

It was powerful to witness a murder unfolding in the middle of the story as it allows audiences to do a bit of their own detective work in trying to solve the case with help from the detectives' findings.

Page twenty three held a striking reveal with Lindo being one of the 5 Knights of Kolossos, and I appreciate the way the story comes full circle with the chess piece falling into the puddle of coffee as shown in the establishing shot.

Perhaps the most surprising moment of all was when it became clear that Wincott had been in alliance with Lindo the whole time. The nicotine gum was a great way to hint at that, and then the actual realization that Wincott is the oracle was brilliant.

The theme of justice is cleverly presented as it becomes clear that those in possession of the bronze items were less than savory characters. This story is colorful and deserves to be produced."
