VAHAGN STEPANYAN (born July 10, 1985) is a gifted Armenian-born keyboardist, composer, songwriter, arranger, and producer. His musical journey started at the early age of eight when he enrolled into a music school for classical piano lessons. Vahagn's quest carried him through high school and on into Conservatory earning him a degree in classical music.
Following Conservatory, Vahagn found himself scoring music arrangements for film soundtracks. Vahagn's musical passions and endeavors gave him the experience he needed to compose music and write songs for famous artists at an early age. Vahagn's musical giftedness has been recognized by well-known musicians and gospel music artists across the world as he has collaborated with a host of artists down throughout the years through studio work, tours, and writing.
With a vast amount of experience in Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Pop, Praise & Worship, and film score, Vahagn's on the right trek and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
In 2010, Vahagn collaborated with American-born recording artist and singer, Eric Lige, and released a Christmas project entitled "Peace On Earth". It's available on iTunes, Amazon and other online music stores.
In 2011, Vahagn collaborated with Grammy-nominated artist Carolyn Malachi where he performed on the hit single "Beautiful Dreamer" Vahagn is also featured on the Trey Eley's (R&B/Jazz Flautist) and Matthew Shell's (Producer/Engineer) 2012 release, "Freedom", which features GRAMMY-nominated trumpet player Greg Adams. In 2013, Vahagn collaborated with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and record producer Arun Shenoy from Singapore.
Vahagn resides in Yerevan, Armenia with his lovely wife Karine, and baby Arina.
