We have been working a long time on our Digital Animation and Visual Effects School in Vancouver , Canada. CG Masters Academy is now receiving students for its first semester of instruction. Everything about this school is custom designed to instruct and focus students as well as make living convenient. The school is located directly on a rapid transit platform at New Westminster Skytrain Station. You literally step off the train, walk a few feet and into our front door. “Isn’t the train loud?” ask many prospective students. Not at all. This is a brand new state-of-the-art building designed to block out the sound of the train. It can not be heard much past the front door, never mind back into the classrooms, lounge or shooting studio. For those who enjoy intense work that keeps them at the workstation all day and night, we have provided a shower, a full kitchen and even a couple of couches in the student lounge where one can grab a little shut-eye. We don’t really recommend such long hours, but we have learned that some students are exhilarated by that kind of schedule. We think if they are excited and passionate, we should be supporting that. We have a 1500 square foot multi-purpose studio that is used for green/blue screen shooting, screening and reviews, drawing class, photography class, motion capture and just about anything else we can think of. It is a great space with huge windows overlooking the mighty Fraser River. For those days when we need dark in the studio, we also have light-control drapes, so we always have the option to use natural or artificial lighting.
