I am a self-published author of a grief memoir, Medicine & Poison: Metaphors About Grief. My book has nothing directly to do with Medicine or Poison and everything to do with the struggles of losing a sister in a fatal car accident. I wrote it in response to all of the unsolicited advice I received after my sister died. I'm a public speaking professional and a writer and that's what I did for one year after my sister died, I communicated every thought, good, bad, funny, embarrassing, insightful and whatever else came to mind.
