Andres Koppel Modolell

Screenwriter and Director. Andrés completed his education in film-making at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). His career as screenwriter begins when he joins director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo to write Intacto (2001) film that has competed in festivals as prestigious as Cannes, Sundance or Edinburgh in addition of being awarded with two Goyas (Spanish Academy Awards). He has worked as head of development in Sogecine, where he collaborated in movies like Caja 507 (2002), Guerreros (2002) or Besos para Todos (2000). Andrés is the writer of Real: la película del Real Madrid (2005), Noche de Reyes (2001) and È già ieri (2004) the Italian remake of Groundhog Day. He has directed the short movies La Raya (1996) and Unión Europea (2006). At present Andrés combines his duties as coordinator of the Laboratorio de Escritura Audiovisual de Canarias (LEAC), with his writing career. Way Down for Think Studio and Tele5 Spain; El Perfecto Extraño for La Créme Films and Claria for Astronauta Producciones and director Luis Ángel Ramírez are some of his current projects
