Mark McKee is a screenwriter residing in Toledo, Ohio with his wife (Meggan,) son (Ollie) and his two cats Lucille and Maggie. When he’s not speaking in the third person, he’s writing stories, chasing a toddler or juggling a full-time job outside of his writing work.
His very first screenplay, ‘Posthuman’ won the Wildsound Science Fiction and Horror screenplay competition in 2019. To this day, Wildsound remain the only team that enjoyed that script.
His second screenplay, ‘Trending’ would get Mark just a little closer to his dream…and an option agreement gasp. But some good things must come to an end, and ‘the rights to ‘Trending’ would eventually return to him after two years. After a restructuring, Mark has begun entering his reworked social media thriller into various competitions, which lead to its’ selection as a quarter finalist in the ISA Table Read My Screenplay competition in Spring 2023.
At present, Mark is 10 drafts into a dystopian thriller, ‘Debtor,’ as well as a still untitled horror/drama that he really doesn’t feel comfortable talking about until he finishes another draft.
