LOGLINE:

As a result of being betrayed by the government, two women steal a small fortune from a government account and secede their property from the United States with the intent to spark a revolution.

SYNOPSIS:

In 2035, SGT. ANDREW GATES enjoys a “welcome home” dinner with is wife, CPT. VIRGINIA WATERS and his sister, DANNI GATES. By the end of the meal, he is dead. The women grieve his untimely death, each finding their own ways to cope. After a support group gathering, Danni is approached by TREVOR MOORE, a reporter at the regional news station who tells her that her brother’s death was the fault of the United States government.

With his help, the sisters-in-law embark upon an investigation of the incident that may have led to Andrew’s death. At the conclusion of their investigation, all of the information clearly indicates the guilt of the US government, however no concrete proof can be produced. With that discovery, Trevor backs out, much to the anger and dismay of Virginia and Danni.

The women hatch a new plan, a plan to expose the US military for the atrocities it had committed. They spend two years converting Virginia’s house into a fortress, as well as using Danni’s skills as a computer programmer to learn how to breach government websites. The time finally comes. They initiate a theft from the Digital Federal Reserve and download the electronic money onto a hard drive.

When the sun rises the next day, they have a new flag flying above their capital, the flag of Aequinatium. The FBI quickly arrives and finds the property nearly impermeable. Trevor catches wind of the incident and desperately tries to convince his boss to let him report on it. The women demonstrate their seriousness with the detonation of a mine during the FBI’s initial breach. A standoff ensues.
