GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Horror
LOGLINE:

This is a VERY rough synopsis with several minor storylines not yet added.

SYNOPSIS:

Born and raised in a small community high up in the Appalachian Mountains, Esther (16) and Raelynn's (7-9) live simple, normal lives with their parents except for one small difference: they're cannibals. Raised on the belief that human flesh is essential to sustaining a long and healthy life, the family murders the occasional drifter or tourist. This morbid lifestyle is disrupted when one of their victims escapes and goes to the police. With the help of the victim's vigilante father, the local police go to arrest the parents only to be forced to kill them in a shootout. They find the two sisters hiding away and take them in, believing them to be helpless victims to their parent's murderous ways, and send them in to live in a foster home for damaged and abused children. The girls live there for a small amount of time until the foster home learns the hard way that the sisters haven't strayed from their parent's teachings and end up their next meal. By the time the police/social services arrive to the scene for a routine checkup, its too late. The girls are gone.

Flash forward a few years and Esther, (now 19) and Raelynn, (now 10-12) have been on the run the entire time, moving from city to city, state to state, continuing their murdering/cannibalistic ways. But when they arrive in a small city in Louisiana, things have begun to change for the two sisters; Esther, responsible for the killing and cooking of the victims, is now exhausted and depressed. Tired of the running and killing, she wants nothing more than to settle down in one place and have friends or, even better, a real family as she is growing weary of having to take care of her little sister and the constant hunger she complains of feeling. Raelynn, on the other hand, has grown into a deceptively manipulative young woman who enjoys the killing and eating, and secretly knows that Esther is growing tired of her and their lifestyle. She is extremely possessive of her older sister and doesn't want to share her even though she herself wants to have friends her own age as well, a "all for me, none for you" mentality.

After they arrive in this Louisiana, both girls seemingly get what they wish for as Raelynn meets a young boy her age at the local school named Noah. The typical bullied kid with no friends and son of a local cop, he takes to her after she stands up for him against his bullies. The two hit it off and Raelynn takes pleasure in introducing him to Esther during one of their "play dates". Secretly glad that she has found someone else to hang around with, Esther unexpectedly meets Noah's father, Wyatt (late 40s) and the two hit it off. A father (maybe divorced) who always wanted a daughter, Wyatt admires Esther's dedication to taking care of her sister but can see the strain it is putting on her and decides to take her under his wing. Not knowing he is a cop, Esther finds herself enjoying his company and parental manner so much so that she accepts an invite for her and Raelynn to join him and his family for dinner. During the dinner, she is shocked to find out that he is a cop and, even worse, that Raelynn knew about it and didn't tell her. Afterwards, the girls go to the hotel they are staying at and argue before Raelynn storms off where she kills a homeless man and begins to eat him before being chased off by some witnesses. This draws in heat from the local police and the F.B.I, who have been searching for the girls this whole time.

Eventually, Wyatt discovers Esther's and Raelynn's secret and confronts Esther, telling her that the girls need to turn themselves in. Still trying to play the big sister, Esther convinces him Raelynn is not the one at fault and shouldn't suffer because of her and her parent's ways and just needs a chance to be a kid again. A good man, Wyatt agrees and tells her that he will take her in and raise her if Esther will turn herself in. Esther agrees and tells Raelynn the plan, which she does not like but reluctantly agrees to. The girls go to Wyatt's house as agreed and Esther is about to turn herself in when Wyatt says that it can wait until after dinner, one last family dinner for the girls. Esther agrees and they find themselves sitting around an amazing homecooked meal, feeling like a family for the first (and last) time. But when the dinner ends, Raelynn stabs Wyatt, killing him so Esther doesn't have to go. Completely shocked and outraged that she would do such a thing, Esther snaps, grabbing Raelynn and screaming at her. Right up until Noah stabs her in the back, killing her as well. On their own now, Raelynn does what comes naturally and begins to prepare a new dinner, with Wyatt and Esther as the main course, while beginning to teach Noah how to prepare human meat for consumption.
