By Renee Miller

GENRE: Horror
LOGLINE:

A logical and shy introvert has spent her life ignoring her prophetic dreams in favor of logic and reason, but when things go horribly wrong at her best friends cabin and she starts to lose the people she loves she is forced to abandon logic and listen to her instincts in a desperate attempt to survive.

SYNOPSIS:

For Emily, her upcoming college graduation is a bag of mixed emotions. On the one hand, she is excited about finally being done with school, but on the other hand, she is terrified of what her future holds. The only thing that is keeping her from losing her mind completely is the upcoming trip to the mountains with her friends. A few nights before her big trip, she has a horrific nightmare where a couple, camping in the woods, is killed by a nightmarish creature. She chalks the dream up to stress and continues getting ready for the weekend in the mountains.

With thoughts of her recent nightmare, banished from her mind, Emily piles into the car with her best friend Madison and her boyfriend Elliot, and her boyfriend Ashton and head to Madison's family cabin. They stop at a gas station in a small, remote town to fill up on gas and grab some snacks to tide them over until they reach the cabin. Emily and Madison go into the store, where Emily notices a missing poster for a couple who disappeared in the woods. To Emily's horror, she recognizes the campers from her nightmare days before. The cashier tells them the couples disappeared less than two miles away from Madison's cabin, making Emily incredibly uneasy about the trip.

Once they arrive at the cabin, Emily's unease starts to fade. After unpacking the car, Emily and Madison get started on making dinner, while Ashton and Elliot gather wood for the fire. As the girls prepare dinner, another car pulls up in front of the cabin. Matthew, Madison's brother, and Emily's childhood crush steps out of the car, along with his new girlfriend, Amelia. While Madison and Emily are happy to see him, Ashton is visibly annoyed. After the group of friends finishes dinner, they gather around and play a friendly game, that ends in jealousy and anger. That night Emily has another violent dream in which the nightmarish creature kills Madison.

The next day Emily begs Madison to stay in the cabin and out of the woods, but her stubborn friend is determined to get out and enjoy the scenery, which ultimately leads to her death. Several hours after Madison and Elliot head into the woods, Elliot runs into the cabin covered in blood. As Emily and Matthew try to calm him down, Ashton accuses him of killing Madison. Worn out and exhausted from the emotions, Emily falls asleep on the couch, only to have another dream that the creature kills Ashton. The next day Emily is awoken by Ashton wanting to leave the cabin because he doesn't want to be in the same room with a murderer.

Ashton leaves the safety of the cabin and is dragged into the forest and killed. As the group is trying to come up with a plan, the creature breaks through the front picture window and drags Amelia out into the woods. This prompts the remaining three members to try and make it to Matthew's car. They manage to make it to the car and speed off down the road, but Emily loses control and slams the car into a tree, knocking the three friends out. As she lays in the car unconscious, Emily has a dream that she follows a path to a nearby cabin and safety.

Emily comes back to and finds that Elliot has left the car. She tries to get Matthew to follow her down the path to safety, but he wants to split up and lead the creature away from her. After a lot of pleading, she lets Matthew go. She continues to make her way down the path to the nearby cabin. The family in the cabin thinks she is a crazed burglar and calls the police on her.

The police arrive and put Emily in the back of the patrol car and take off toward the nearby town. Even though she is in the back of the patrol car, Emily starts to relax. Soon the car pulls to the side of the road so the police officer can investigate an item blocking the road. Emily begs him to stay in the car, but he doesn't listen and is dragged into the woods by the creature, leaving Emily stuck in the back of the patrol car.
