GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

An informant and his wife, running from both the mob and FBI, win over the people of Lincoln, North Carolina.

SYNOPSIS:

Paulie and Madeline Ford figure something isn't right when they garner a less than enthusiastic welcome upon their arrival in Lincoln, North Carolina. Folks drive only one car, the one which gave the town its name. They don't take too kindly to newcomers in a BMW. That the strangers bought the local luncheonette from their favorite football hero doesn't help. Business tanks until Madeline accidentally whips up a sandwich that becomes the talk of the town. The flock returns. But a cynical reporter, infuriated by the Ford’s smug, BMW-driving Yankee attitude, discovers that the couple took a powder from the FBI, and squeals. The feds and the eavesdropping mob guys Paulie has to testify against race to Lincoln to take care of the turncoats. The townsfolk rally behind the Ford’s and their sandwich to drive out the good guys and the bad...along with the star reporter.
