Shawn Schepps

Shawn started off as a kid actor. In her early twenties she began writing in the theater. Some of her plays have been produced in Montreal, New York, The Aspen Comedy Festival and Los Angeles. Shawn has written films including "Encino Man," "Son-in-Law," Drumline" and "You and I" directed by Roland Joffe. She has written and directed award winning shorts and such features as "L.A. Woman." She worked for a few years on "Weeds" and for "Drop Dead Diva." She is currently taking out an hour/musical/dark-comedy pilot and developing a stage musical with her partner in crime, Gil Grant. Shawn considers herself a native Los Angelean, and likes it that way, (even through she was born in Brooklyn. -
