Michael Buffo

Mike Buffo is an inspiration and role model for young teenage artists in Monterey County. He tirelessly works full-time as artistic director, instructor and digital video editor for the after-school filmmaking program called HARA Motion Picture Conservatory in which he founded in 2010 with his wife, Brittney. HARA stands for HEART ALIGNED RESPONSE ARTISTS. Mike and Brittney take a holistic approach to offer mentorship through the process of hands-on filmmaking; offering opportunities in front of and behind the camera. In addition to productions, technique classes are held at the Access Monterey Penninsula Television facility in acting, screenplay writing, directing, editing, and crewing. Most importantly, as a mentor to young adults, Michael is a role model as a small business artist who lives a purposeful life to enrich the community through artistic expression. Young adults seeking direction to pursue an artistic career in the television/film industry can find a home community with HARA to live, work, and play.
