About Laura

My name is Laura Louise Planson. I am originally from London but living in Texas. I started acting from a young age and was on a television show called ‘PLAYDAYS’ at the age of 5 years old. By ten years old, I had played over twenty-five main characters in small pantomimes, church plays, and school musicals. At 14, I received a ‘Young Writers Creativity Award’ from Great minds for a Poem of Distinction which was featured for publication in the Great Minds Anthology. I went to college for Performing Arts and graduated with a BTEC National Diploma and an overall grade of distinctions in each class. This is where I began writing scripts for college courses and began to take my writing to the next level. In 2012, I wrote a show called “The Mime in me” which was a play about mental health. I also wrote, “Little House” which was a one-woman show that got extremely successful feedback in 2013 about domestic violence recovery. I have a qualification in screenwriting from the University of East Anglia (UEA).
