About John

John Lacey is a hyphenate actor-director-writer-producer. John has Bachelor and Master degrees from Pepperdine University and studied theatre with the legendary Lee Strasberg. Most memorable roles on stage include Rodolfo in Arthur Miller’s “A View from the Bridge”, Andy in “Playmates” and the King in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The King and I”. John has directed “Infidelity in Pieces” at the Greenway Court Theatre for the Actors Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit, “Gardel’s Tango” @ Zephyr Theatre (recently published by Amazon Books), and “Suddenly Last Summer” @Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. John also wrote “The Extraterrestrial” sitcom for Univision television (Mexico) and was featured in “Pinch Experts” for Aries Films (Argentina.) John is a current member of the Directors Unit @The Actors Studio and graduate of Directors Lab West @The Pasadena Playhouse. John was also Vice Chairman of the Theatrical Producers League of L.A., producing his own plays “Gardel’s Tango”, “The Tango Singer” (Theatre West), “Executive Encounter” (Lope de Vega Theatre), “The Debt” (Latin-American Hebrew Society), and “Magical Transformation” (De la Cova Theatre.) John is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Association of Los Angeles Playwrights and Stage Directors & Choreographers Society.
