THE SCRIPT
By Lynn H. Elliott

GENRE: Horror
LOGLINE:

A mysterious young, Irish girl, who refuses to name herself, insists that a literary agent read her work—both their lives depend on it!

SYNOPSIS:

Despite the agent, Aiden’s repeated refusals to read the script, including ripping it up, the script and the young girl continue to reappear in his life. Aiden, after a cursory glance of the script, realizes he himself is the central character in a developing script, replete with its confrontations with Celtic demons such as those Aiden is facing.

Frustrated at his lack of control and familiarity with these demons, Aiden consults his brother’s partner, Lachlan, an Irishman. But Lachlan is loath to discuss these demons, assuring Aiden that they, and the girl, are present in the Aiden’s life for a reason. It is contained, Lachlan insists, in the bloody message, in Gaelic, that appears on Aiden’s bedroom wall: “The Past Does Not Die.”

Soon Aiden is forced to confront that past, an action that parallels one story of the mythological Irish hero, Cu Chulainn. And like that mythological hero, that confrontation with the past proves deadly for Aiden and the young girl.

THE SCRIPT has received numerous awards, including Best Horror Script at Hollywood Blood, and Gold Star Movie. Filmmatic, Austin, Page Turner, ISA Genre busting have all praised the work.

Wiki Screenplay writes of THE SCRIPT: “The writer has exhibited true wit and cleverness by drawing upon these parallels and has drafted something unique and unexpected within a genre whose biggest pitfall is predictability.”
