About Cole

Helping others find their voice is where Cole discovered his own. As an award-winning director & producer, the art of storytelling for Cole is about the empowerment of human life.

His work has taken him all over the world, telling stories from the foothills of the Himalayas to the rice fields of the Philippines, creating branded content for companies including Snapchat, NBC, The International Olympic Channel, Bridgestone, Facebook and more.

In 2018, Cole spent eight months producing the award-winning show Far From Home. A documentary series following six extraordinary stories of Olympic hope. The show was recognized for its caliber and won two Silver Telly's and a Gold Telly Award. It also gave the athletes the opportunity to share their story with the world, and with International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach. His focus on impactful storytelling has helped further the development of India's first winter Olympic training facility, has generated millions of views online and has won him numerous awards including a Clio Entertainment Award for editing. Most recently Cole was hailed as Music Bed's 2017 Film Initiative recipient and the recipient of the 2019 MAST Fellowship.

Beyond the stage of accolades and client work, Cole’s ambitions lie with creating memorable stories that leave the audience with a deep connection to the human experience. He has spread his mission from screens to streets by working alongside the American Film Showcase, as a film expert, to bring storytelling to countries around the world. His passion for empowering stories has granted him the opportunity to speak on the TED stage this year.

Currently, based between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, Cole is now working on a feature-length documentary in partnership Himalayan Cataract Project and Vision Spring, about unnecessary blindness in the developing world.

It is his life’s mission to urge brands, networks, and organizations to not only support quality storytelling but stories that can help reshape our world in a positive way. Cole wants to use film and story as a tool to promote the advancement of human potential and human connection. With this mission at the core of who he is, he will provide something that films sometimes lack, impact.

Outside of film, Cole loves to spend his time trekking around the world, or on a basketball court with his friends. You can find him late at night dancing around some random city or at a karaoke bar. If you do not see him there, he is probably at home reading a book, or meditating.

If you choose to work with Cole, you could go out and Karaoke with him.
