When a successful musician checks into rehab for her drug addiction, she finds a kindred spirit in another famous patient, embarking on a relationship that is equally passionate and risky.
Nikki V reached the stardom as the bass player of a successful nu-metal band. Her triumph as a musician came at a high-cost since she became heavily dependent on substance abuse to numb her stage fright. After suffering a seizure derived from mixing ketamine with alcohol, her bandmates had enough of her recklessness, and Nikki is given one last chance to check into rehab or she’s out of the band. She’s sent to a rehabilitation center in Malibu, where she meets Seeley Kerr, a famous stand-up comedian and former SNL cast member whose career derailed thanks to heroin addiction. Despite their unmatching styles and personalities, Nikki and Seeley figure out they have a lot in common and grow closer as the rehabilitation process goes on. They commit to helping each other and their relationship evolves into a fling. However, their hopes of getting clean are not as strong as their ghosts. With their recovery progress constantly jeopardized by setbacks and meltdowns, Nikki and Seeley struggle together to rise above their grief.
