About Gabriel

Born in Brazil and living in Canada since 2012, Gabriel is a screenwriter, script supervisor, novelist, copywriter, ghostwriter, and digital artist/designer.

After releasing three novels written in Brazilian Portuguese (named The World After the End, A Brief Dream of Hope, and Constellation of a Cloudy Sky), Gabriel decided to dive deep into the art of screenwriting. He graduated from Toronto Film School, and as he learned the ropes, he used the skills acquired from his non-film-related activities to hone his voice. His experience as a copywriter and a ghostwriter helped him develop more empathy towards his interlocutors, leave his convictions aside whenever needed, and perceive the world through someone else’s lenses. His published novels, as well as his graphic design projects, taught him how to think and write visually. Apparently, everything conspires for him to become the best screenwriter he can possibly be.

As of today, Gabriel has six feature films and four TV pilot scripts under his belt - and some of them were placed in respectable and highly-competitive contests, such as Screencraft and LaunchPad. Recently, he decided to direct his focus to TV writing, more specifically high-concept drama shows in the same vein as Breaking Bad, Mr. Robot, Sons of Anarchy, and Succession.
