About Empress

Empress Simone is a New York native and former Journalism and Mass Communications Major with a minor in Sociology student. Her date of completion was March 16, 2020. She graduated from Ashford University Cum Laude with A GPA of 3.56 in Journalism and Mass Communications and a GPA of 3.33 in Sociology.
Empress Simone was educated in New York City's Catholic School System. She enjoys writing professional and creative pieces. She has penned a number of Urban Fiction Novels under various pen names. She was named on UBAWAA's Top 100 African-American Authors of 2017 & 2018. Her future goals are to win an AAMBC Literary Award, make strides in the Film Industry, and become a household name in the Journalism field.
She is also a publisher, establishing her brand Empressed For Life Presents Publishing Group, LLC in 2016, which not only publishes other authors, but the Contemporary Urban Magazine titled "Strictly for My People: An Urban Literary Magazine."
Empress Simone is not only an Indie Author and Publisher, but she is also adding to her resume by becoming Co-Executive Producer of the movie 'Old Head' by PlatFrm Films which is still in production.
Empress Simone is a Social Justice Advocate, who strives to educate and empower the black community by fostering a positive attitude toward encouraging the practice of applying the concept of group economics in community members’ everyday lives.
Empress Simone believes that there’s ‘Power in The Pen.’ As a result, she has enrolled in Full Sail University majoring in New Media Journalism Masters Program, where she plans to utilize her degree(s) and her God-given talents, to write letters, petitions, and thought-provoking blogs to distribute her unique perspective on a myriad of issues.
Empress Simone has finally decided to stop procrastinating and has started working on her first screenplay, titled, "In These Streets" which is based on a copyrighted Street-Lit novel series penned by Empress Simone herself.
