Dr.Mike Metlay

Dr. Mike Metlay is an electronic musician, recording artist, author/editor, educator, and online content creator who's been working in the music and entertainment industries for 40 years. He appears weekly on the RadioSpiral online radio station as a DJ and live performer, and has a catalog of releases from throughout his career currently available on Bandcamp.

He recently stepped down from a position as Editor of the world-renowned pro audio magazine RECORDING, on which he had been an Editorial staffer for 23 years. His current venture, Atomic Words, provides writing, editing, and practical online content for clients in the audio, music, technology, and entertainment industries.

Dr. Mike was the founder and coordinator of the Different Skies music festival at Arcosanti throughout its successful run from 2003 to 2012, and currently organizes the Mountain Skies festival in Asheville and various mindSpiral performances around the world and in virtual reality. He is also a retired nuclear physicist, and keeps the "Dr." in front of his name because damn it all, he EARNED it.
