Born to a family of filmmakers, Kam developed an all-consuming passion for the film early in life. His first introduction to the industry was when he acted in one of his father’s movies at age seven, and at fifteen he made his first 8mm short film. After getting a small taste of what the film industry had to offer, Kam decided to pursue and attain a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television at San Francisco State University and became a professional cameraman. Since then, he has never looked back.
Throughout his lengthy career, Kam has had the pleasure to travel extensively around the world while filming, fully immersing himself in a multitude of diverse cultures and communities. With thirty years of experience in production under his belt, Kam has worked on a wide variety of projects including feature films, documentaries, TV series, music videos, and commercials.
His work has been distributed and produced by major TV networks and production companies such as Amazon Prime, PBS, and NBC, among others. By creating an extensive range of multimedia content in different teams and work environments, Kam has repeatedly shown his ability to be highly adaptable, effectively lead a production crew, and successfully execute high-quality projects.
In the last ten years specifically, Kam has shot, produced, and consulted on marketing and corporate video productions on a national level. Through his work, combining commerce and filmmaking, he has further honed and developed his skills in storytelling and concept development.
