About J

J. BUCK FORD is an actor, writer, and voice artist with more than twenty feature films, three television series, five audio books, including the 2010 New American Bible, and the 2013 release of Noah Beck’s thriller, “The Last Israelis”, as well as hundreds of commercials, and dramatic narratives to his credit, including the award-winning 2013 short, “Blood & Oil”, directed by filmmaker Cale Glendenning.

His first book, RIVER OF NO RETURN- Tennessee Ernie Ford and The Woman He Loved (Cumberland House/Turner Books-February, 2008), was called “masterfully rendered”, in Publisher’s Weekly’s starred review, and marked Ford’s emergence as writer with nothing less than critical acclaim – from the literary world, and the world of those who lived the life.

As acting president for the family company that bears his father’s name, Ford is responsible for overseeing the audio and visual production, design and artwork for all product and promotional efforts generated by Tennessee Ernie Ford Enterprises’ managing director, Murphy Ann Ford, including the video presentation created for the Ernie Ford exhibit at the new Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, Tennessee.

Currently at work his second book, and the screenplay adaptation of ‘River’, Ford recently wrapped his twenty-fourth feature film, and can be seen opposite Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow in ‘Country Strong’. He lives in Nashville.
