About Kevin

KEVIN NICKLAUS - PRODUCER, SANDSTONE ARTISTS
Kevin Nicklaus is a partner with the Los Angeles-based management and production company, Sandstone Artists. The company represents a wide range of talent from across the media landscape including actors, writers and directors for film and television. Their clients' works have been produced by globally recognized production companies, including Hulu, Twentieth Century Fox, Quiver, Paramount Pictures, MGM, Millennium, Searchlight, Warner Brothers, ION, Hallmark, and more.

Kevin oversees the production division of the company, with projects set up with A-list directors, studio pods and a greenlit animated project. The only announced project is the first live-action English-language adaptation of Japanese mangaka Junji Ito's work, which was written by Jeff Howard and will be produced by Fangoria Studios.

As this suggests, most of his work has centered on adapting IP. He currently serves as the consulting producer for RIDI, the billion-dollar company behind the Manta comics app and Tapas, a division of Korean media giant, Kakao, as well as other IP-based projects.

Previously, Kevin was the SVP of The Wolper Org., an award-winning production entity based at Warner Bros. The Wolper Organization has been responsible for over 500 films, and historically significant shows, such as ROOTS and LA CONFIDENTIAL, which have won more than 150 awards, including two Oscars, 50 Emmys, seven Golden Globes, five Peabody’s, and recognition and retrospectives from Cannes and other respected international film festivals. Kevin has been integral to the early development and sales of "BATES MOTEL" for A&E, the 2016 Emmy-nominated "ROOTS" for History, STEPHEN KING'S SALEM'S LOT for TNT, THE MISTS OF AVALON for TNT, HELTER SKELTER for CBS, THE BAD SEED for Lifetime and more.

Kevin specializes in genre for TV and film. He loves projects based on pre-existing IP. He also works with Hallmark and FAST channels and is always looking for a great low budget romance or thriller for that space. He tends to shy away from procedurals or historical projects.
