How does a middle age woman save herself after her husband commits suicide? C'Mon, Baby, Light My Fire: Or How I Caught Firefighter Fever tells the story of Alejandro and Jackie, and how a few messages and a photo shared on social media ignited a fiery love affair between a library employee and a firefighter-paramedic.
The story unfolds when Alejandro, a Tempe firefighter-paramedic and university fire marshal, sends a dick pic to a library employee he met at work. This sets a torrid affair in motion. Hey, it was a big dick pic. But Alejandro's wife discovers the affair, and Jackie finds her life endangered by an angry housewife, who wants to know the nature of Jackie's relationship with her husband, who says they are merely friends. Jackie, who seeks advice from police and her loving friends, tells the wife the truth. Alejandro, who wanted Jackie to lie, breaks up with Jackie to save his marriage. Jackie, an aspiring standup comic, invites Alejandro to her big break show at a local comedy club, but he declines. At the event, Jackie confesses she doesn't regret her affair with a sexy firefighter and encourages others to misbehave like Amazon's Jeff Bezos. Meanwhile, Jackie and Alejandro continue to connect at work; one day they meet up at a Tempe independent bookstore, where they reconcile. Alejandro confesses he is now divorced. Jackie, an aspiring screenwriter, invites Alejandro to help her craft a happy ending to her script, where they discover how they can improve on their sizzling hot first kiss on her luxury condo balcony.
