Michael Daniel Sagatis

Michael Daniel Sagatis is an UK born independent researcher, writer, composer and filmmaker with Baltic & Slavic roots.
He has created an auto ethnographic project 'Józefa’s Letters - Extraction From Oblivion' that uses multiples media to express the stories connecting the fates of family members using original historical artefacts, archival records, photography, text and musical compositions. Michael has traveled and lived extensively, exhibiting the story around the Soviet space and in 2019, he made and co-scored the documentary short film "Józefa's Letters" which has received 9 official film festival selections.
