A rip in time forces a Federal Agent, a cryptozoologist and a swamp hunter to contain the creatures that are spilling into our world

SYNOPSIS:

A Super Collider break has opened a fissure between worlds…

Nutria are over taking sections of the swamp, and now something has infected them - they are growing at an alarming rate. Some broodmares are the size of a black bear and they have developed an appetite for meat. They kill two fishermen.

BUBBA is out in his boat hunting gators when he notices that the swamp has changed. He encounters weird animal tracks, a long forked-tail creature rocking his boat and now nothing matters, except for the sound of Godzilla deep in the swamp. He meets up with WILL at the diner to figure out what could be causing these changes. While there he hears that a local elementary school has been damaged by a herd of nutria.

Meanwhile, Agent JESS Sterling is assigned to contain the creatures that are spilling into our world from an incident at the Super Collider. Jess moves to Bridgeport and takes an undercover position as a wildlife agent. She starts a bounty program to help eradicate as many creatures as possible. Her boss wants her to capture anything unusual for the toxins they may have.

Bubba is hired by the city to track and kill as many nutrias as possible. Bubba asks for Will’s help as they check out the changes in the swamp. The nutria have twisted his steel traps and now Bubba is pissed. He is out for blood. Nutria blood.

Bridgeport has some unusual small town local characters including a sheriff who is understaffed, a local woman who is trying to get the sheriff recalled because her husband was kidnapped by Bigfoot, a conspiracist drug dealer, and a team of highly qualified military personnel under the leadership of Jess. The town hub is the local diner, Norma’s, where gossip and conspiracy fly.

But, Jess knows the true extent of what is happening in the area, and it is already totally out of control. The local wildlife is being contaminated by something not of this world. She reaches out to Will for help. But none of that matters if Godzilla is loose.

The climax of the pilot has numerous citizens out looking for bounty pelts on the nutria. Bubba has found the brood mare with her family and he toasts them with his home-made flame thrower.

This is a story about people coming together to do the right thing and try to save a new world on the brink – bridging the natural world and the supernatural and saving mankind in the process. Each week someone will die, and we will meet creatures that are scary, but some that are innocent and cuddly. There is a comedic undertone to the creature capturing and the locals who encounter things they have only seen in their nightmares.

Our world expands as we cheer for Jess, and locals Will and Bubba. They learn from each other and the creatures as they try to save those spilling into our world through the break in space-time continuum. Are they strong enough to go up against the government organization? Can they return the creature’s, or will the government exploit the toxin’s the animals secrete against mankind?
