Dr Samita Nandy is a writer and actor, trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. As the founder of Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS) and Samita Nandy Productions Dr Samita Nandy has been covered in media including The Telegraph (UK), The Globe and Mail, CBC, VICE, Flare, Chatelaine, SUN Media, Yahoo! Entertainment news, and many more. Her Doctoral research on celebrity culture at Curtin University in Australia led to publications in the Celebrity Studies journal and a number of book chapters. She is currently working on two screenplays and independent films.
