About Julian

Julian Roberts is an Australian Screenwriter, Director, and Producer based in Los Angeles.

Currently producing 'AVOCA' a thriller starring Samara Weaving, William Emmons, Nick Britton, Dave Beamish, Niki Osbourne, and currently in talks with a financier and A-List US Actor for the lead role. Based on an original screenplay by Julian which he will be directing in 2023/24.

Julian studied the 'Advanced Diploma of Film Production' at Footscray City College and 'The Advanced Certificate in Directing' at the Institute of Lens Arts Australia. Refining his directing skills under esteemed acting coach Peter Kalos at the Melbourne Actors Lab. He also trained under Award Winning Director, Daina Reid through the Australian Film Television Radio School with the 'Directors Toolkit' and under Acclaimed Australian Film & TV Director, David Cesar through the AFTRS.

Julian is mentored by Christopher Lockheart the Story Editor at William Morris Endeavor. Christopher works closely with actors Denzel Washington, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jennifer Lawrence, and other A-List Actors helping them choose their next projects. He is also currently being mentored in Business/Sales/Marketing by Aaron Sansoni one of the leading business consultants in the world as part of Aaron's 'Inner Circle' group.

Julian has pitched projects to Kennedy Marshall, Sony, Fox, Legendary Entertainment, Lionsgate, WME, UTA, APA, Studio 8, Entertainment Studios, Voltage Pictures, 13 Films, Village Roadshow, Blumhouse, Mosiac, Intrigue Entertainment, Anonymous Content, Archetype, Hopskotch Pictures, Panay Films, Zero Gravity.

He has also met with 9 Time Emmy award-winning Director Thomas Schlamme of 'The West Wing' and Producer Jason Shuman, producer of 'Lone Survivor'.

Legal Representation, Lisa Callif, Partner at Donaldson & Callif was recently named one of Hollywood's Power Lawyers for the third straight year.

Julian's producing credits include the independent feature films 'The Jungle' and 'Final Move'.
