I have completed a three-year degree in broadcasting at the University of West London. I have achieved a first degree with honours. I believe the knowledge and skills built up during this time make me the perfect candidate for any radio station role.
Working in radio particularly interests me because of my passion for broadcasting. I have been a radio fan since the early days of Kenny Everett, John Peel and Chris Tarrant to name just a few.
During my course, I studied topics such as live radio, podcasting, interviewing guests and the skills learned from these modules have given me an excellent foundation for building a career as a radio presenter.
I have built upon my interest in this field in a number of ways. I am currently working in an unpaid position with a local community radio station, Radio Woking (nearly four years) this has allowed me to put my theory for the subject into practice. In addition, I broadcasted on the university’s radio station on a breakfast/brunch show three mornings a week. I have interviewed a variety of people for the Eagle radio podcasts; these have included councillors and local business people.
I currently use Social media as a platform for my radio show and utilising these have made my radio show reach so many more listeners.
