James has been working in the performing arts industry for over twenty years. Since his return to Japan, he has written and adapted four projects four the stage, two original works, and has consulted on feature films scripts while building his own body of screenwriting work. He has taught, directed and performed in over nine countries across five continents.
Working in both film, TV and theatre as a writer, actor, director, choreographer, stunt man, consultant and teacher, he spent five years at the working at the East 15 Acting School in London as the Head of the BA Physical Theatre Course.
In 2012 he returned to Japan and founded C.I.T.A an international performance group, and in the last year has taught workshops on Neutral Mask, clown and le jeu, work on Shakespearean texts, masked comedy, and devising with more workshops planned this year. He is currently directing and teaching projects in both Japan and places abroad such as Malaysia and the Iberoamericano Festival del Teatro in Bogota, Columbia.
