Writing projects for Television:
(All projects listed have at least a pilot episode (some with multiples), and a series Bible.)
1. An historical drama, set in Louisiana, apocalyptic with overtones of horror.
2. A faith-based 1/2 hour comedy (Very challenging to typical "faith based" ideals... not for the conservative Christian at ALL)
3. A theatre conservatory show in the tradition of GLEE - but a love letter to the craft of acting.
4. An office comedy centering around disaster-relief social work.
5. An absurd comedy in the tradition of 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN
Features:
1. A rom-com with apocalyptic overtones, about a 40 year old wife with the perfect life... who burns it all down.
Acting background:
Ann is best known for three seasons on AMC's THE WALKING DEAD as Olivia. She was also a series regular on SUN RECORDS where she played iconic Gladys Presley, Momma to Elvis (Directed by the legendary Roland Joffe). Other recurring roles include stints on the Peabody award-winning series RECTIFY, and Netflix GOOD COP.
Her film work includes a starring role opposite Tim Blake Nelson in THE TRUE DON QUIXOTE, a supporting role in LOGAN LUCKY (Directed by Steven Soderbergh), and a supporting role opposite Renee Zellweger and Greg Kinnear in SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME.
She stars opposite Sean Astin and Anna Friel in the upcoming CHARMING THE HEARTS OF MEN, and leads the cast of the upcoming BOUND BY LAW.
Ann began as a classical trained stage actor, receiving her BA in Theatre Arts - she studied Stanislavski and Meisner methods, as well as directing and playwriting. Her MFA centers around Japanese Theatre Master Tadashi Suzuki's THE SUZUKI METHOD OF ACTOR TRAINING. Ann still practices and teaches this method to this day.
She has appeared in leading roles on many regional theatre stages, including BERKSHIRE THEATRE FESTIVAL, LONG WHARF THEATRE, SOUTHERN REP THEATRE, AND CONNECTICUT REPERTORY THEATRE. She has also worked Off-Broadway on the Obie winning play THE ROMANCE OF MAGNO RUBIO. Favorite stage roles include Valerie in THE WEIR, Hamlet in HAMLET, Harper Pitt in both parts of ANGELS IN AMERICA, and Petra in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.
