Janett Mendez

Janett is a producer with 8 short films to her credit. While her films tend to focus on sensitive topics related to traumatic themes, she is currently developing a sci-fi web series titled “My Dinner with Andrea.”

She began her career as a Production Assistant on shorts, talk shows, and the award-winning feature film, “Lost Angelas". Janett was selected to participate in the Academy Gold class of 2018 for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and subsequently joined Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment in Creative Development. Her expertise in storytelling has been sought by international and national script competitions such as SYS, Golden Script Competition, Blastoff, and Wiki Screenplay Contest, where she offers detailed feedback on over 200 scripts annually. She has also independently assisted over 100 writers with their scripts and projects.

Janett currently works with The Feature as a Writer Outreach, where she was previously project manager for The Feature's NFT launching project HUXLEY Comics.
