A 12 year old girl, the last surviving storyteller of her tribe, is summoned along with her schoolmates into an ancient cave by the Native American ghosts, myths and legends of her small town.
Booger Bear, Yonweekeelaha, Toyoyone must guide and teach them how to "Dance the Devil Down" to save their town from total destruction by the mad spirit devil of the cave, Shagok. Shagok will stop at nothing to keep the cave's secret from being revealed. Will the chldren suceed in finding the pathway out or will they and their town become an endangered species on the brink of extinction?
