About Sophie

Sophie is British actress, playwright and screenwriter based in Brighton, UK. Since graduating she has worked as an actress and writer for stage, film, radio and television. She also set up her own theatre company, Lantern Light Theatre Company, who tour new writing and classical adaptations to both theatre and non-theatre venues across the UK. For the last two years in a row they have been commissioned by the Conan Doyle Collection to create a series of new theatrical performances, story-telling shows, radio plays and workshops based on research and historic scripts and photos from the archive.

She has worked with filmmaker and writer Richard Anthony Dunford on 'Dragonflies only live for 24 Hours' and 'P.O.V.', Obie Dean on 'Lotty' and most recently appeared in Howard Ford's lockdown horror movie 'The Lockdown Hauntings.'

As a writer she has been commissioned to write numerous Victorian stage and radio adaptations, including 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' and 'A Christmas Carol' and is currently developing a double bill adaptation of 'Number Two, Melrose Square' by Theo Gift and 'The Doll's Ghost' by Francis Marion Crawford.

She is also writing a female-led monster movie script and a female-led TV comedy series.
