As a young child, I wrote a few short stories that were published and circulated amongst Christian ministries in the Southwest. It was not until high school that I began winning awards for my creative writing, and poetry. My small literary success was short-lived because the only way I was getting to University was to swap the pen for a set of clubs. Turned out, I was exceptionally good at hitting that little white ball!
I became the first walk-on in Arizona State’s history and the first black female golfer in the Pac-12. Earned my degree in Business Law from W.P. Carey, kicked some ass in the tech industry, started a few businesses, but I still have the insatiable need to write…
So here I am, many moons later, writing historical fiction, fantasy, and action/adventure dramas with STRONG female leads. I currently have an affinity with Africa. I just finished a script for a feature film, and am working on two TV pilots.
I am Queen (Working Title) Historical ⋄ Adventure Off the coast of West Africa, a Queen groomed in the art of war fearlessly goes toe-to-toe with European powers to save her people from the birth of the transatlantic slave trade.
