About Me:

Shirley J. Hatcher is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Brooklyn College with a B.A in theatre. She has appeared off Bway in many TV soap operas and films.

She continued her education and graduated from CCNY with a M.A. in Special Education. She taught in the NYC Education system/Home Instruction Division for twenty-six years. I am a member of Sag-Aftra and NYWIFT.

She has produced two films: Miracle Child "The Documentary" It was screened at Tribeca, and a short film called "Help".
She has developed a Bible for a TV series and completed a pilot.

Ms. Hatcher took this project a step further and wrote a screenplay called "Miracle Child"

Logline: When a , a fed-up, burn-out, NYC teacher leaves the classroom after the death of her eight year-old son in a gang cross-fire. She quits her job and begins home schooling a youngster the system has given up on. She opens her heart up to the boy and struggles to rescue him from his violent drug addicted mother.

I see this project as a collaborative opportunity for investors, producers and a vessel for our youth to work creativity together towards a vision.
