I studied Kathak in true tradition of Guru Shishya Parampara under the Natraj Pt. Gopikrishna {Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje Fame}. I hold a Visharad (BA Kathak Dance) from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj, India, Where I have been appointed as the dance examiner. I am the principal of “DHAROHAR” - dedicated to Indian dance -

I was awarded the title of “Shringar Mani” by Sur Singar Samsad. I am a dance choreographer for stage, TV Serials & Films. I’ve performed extensively all over India, Sri Lanka, United States of America & South Africa, and Singapore etc.

I participated in the Grahamstown Arts Festival South Africa with Siwela Sonke Dance Company in the Productions, Shifting Spaces Tilting Times, a South African Siddhartha and Home. I’ve been nominated for Best Newcomer Dancer in the FNB Vita Awards, South Africa in 1999 and best Choreographer in 2005 in the KZN Dance Link annual awards.

I’ve participated as an associated choreographer, principal dancer, actor, singer and dance captain, in a successful 11 week run of 100 shows for the SIBAYA CASINO IN ASSOCIATION WITH ANANT SINGH & VIDEOVISION ENTERTAINMENT’S ‘BOMBAY CRUSH’- a bollywood musical extravaganza, in South Africa 2005/06. This production was hailed as the best ever, most successful South African stage show.

I appeared in Sony TV’s latest show “Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega”, in this, I performed a Fusion of Kathak and Tap Dance.

I am the resident choreographer, tutor and advisor at Nateshwar Dance Academy, Durban, South Africa. I have performed for South African presidents Dr. Nelson Mandela, Mr.Thabo Mbeki & current President Dr. Jacob Zuma and the president of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and also for Mrs. Sonia Gandhi.

In my 18 years stint of traveling abroad, I have, as dancer and choreographer acquired knowledge of various dance forms and hence I have incorporated these various flavors into my choreography. I have successfully choreographed many fusion and contemporary pieces for shows abroad.

I am currently part of Mr. Om Karate’s “YATRI” theatre, as an Actor & Choreographer. I have acted in the hit plays CHHOOMANTAR, NAKCHADHI, ZARA INSE MILIYE, RANI KI KAHANI, AANKHON AANKHON MEIN, RAJNEETI, RAAT BAAKI HAI, CHINTA CHHOD CHINTAMANI, RAAVANLEELA, LADDU GOPAL ETC.
