About Elea

I'm a writer who has spent the last ten+ years working in Silicon Valley (the locale, not the show), telling the business stories of tech startups.

When the pandemic hit AND I got cancer, some life revision seemed in order. This fall, I founded a consultancy, Transit Happy, that helps public transit agencies with their communications challenges. One of our projects is to launch a children's animated series about transit. I'm seeking some research and creative-development funding from private industry for that. Oh! And advisors as well, if anyone with a children's animation background is interested.

Prior to my time in Silicon Valley, I published a handful of well-regarded short stories (in Narrative Magazine and The Georgia Review, among other places) and had two stories anthologized. I have an MFA in creative writing. I help my writing partner out with his screenplays and we are developing a comedy series about my life living at a crazy marina filled with goats and Burning Man sculptures (yes, where I actually live). I've also done a bit of commercial acting. Oh and one more thing-- I keep trying to move back to New Mexico so I'm always on the lookout for connections there. Would try to bring some goats with me but no Burning Man sculptures.
