MINDBOGLER
By Allen Haynes JR

GENRE: Action, Sci-fi
LOGLINE:

A young teenager mistakenly becomes a popular solo cast member after a laser gun accident grants him the ability to enter flatscreen and electronic devices, unleashing his super gift.

SYNOPSIS:

"Spiderman "VS" Quantum Leap"

Owens wasn't nervous about winning the talent show event, and the audience cheered for

him happily. As others performed their final acts, and the winners were announced, James

felt thrilled upon winning first place in the talent show, earning a prize of 500 dollars. After

the contest is over, everyone starts leaving and preparing for class. James calmly made his

way to his science classroom.

Surprisingly, only a few people congratulated him, but most of them didn't seem to notice.

Other students were introduced, and James was assigned to work on a project with his new

classmate, Jeff, known as the nerdy antagonist. When Owens worked on the project with

Jeff, parts of it included math.

Impressively, Jeff didn't realize that James had a high interest in that field. Despite their

differences, a minor friendship developed between James and Jeff. Jeff invited James over

to his place after their study session. They later walked away from school, engaging in a

conversation, and took a bus ride to an upper-class neighborhood, which intrigued James

out of curiosity.

Upon arriving at Jeff's impressive mansion, belonging to his father, James felt an unspoken

excitement and warm welcome. Jeff showed him his luxurious bedroom, where they settled

down to study. As James relaxed comfortably, they engaged in a few conversations.

During their study time, Jeff politely asked James if he wanted snacks, to which James

politely expressed his desire for something delicious to satisfy his appetite. Taking

advantage of his relaxed state in Jeff's house, James quietly explored the premises and

stumbled upon the Professor's bedroom, unable to resist taking a peek. Meanwhile, while

Jeff was occupied in the kitchen preparing snacks, James ventured into Jeff's dad's closet,

which belonged to the professors. Inside, he curiously heard faint sounds emanating from

within the closet. He discovered a partially automatic sliding door and couldn't resist

trespassing further. James felt a sense of bewilderment, as if something astonishing

awaited him.

Within the discovery, which leads Owens to a hidden lab within Jeff's house, he uncovers

something truly fascinating. He sees mathematical formulas and symbols that somewhat

make sense throughout his thoughts. He takes something from the lab and then leaves

quietly. James realizes he should return to Jeff's bedroom.

Afterwards, James arrives at Jeff's bedroom happily, and they continue to study together,

munching on snacks, and engaging in a brief conversation. James leaves after the

professors arrive, feeling nervous about conversing with Jeff's dad. The relationship between

the two, along with Jeff, goes perfectly well. Owens then returns home, going directly to his

bedroom, where he starts playing around with the weaponry device, envisioning himself as a

fake cop or a cowboy.

During this experimentation, Owens unwittingly triggers the weapon's effects, leading to an

accidental mishap that renders him temporarily blind. Shouting in pain and disoriented

when he stumbles back into his bedroom, he begins to lose consciousness.

During his recovery, James remains initially unaware of his newfound gift. Eventually, he

discovers that he can interact with live streams and clear channel videos, secretly utilizing

his unique abilities. Excitedly, he explores other genres, engaging with flatscreens and

devices.

James is then presented with opportunities in the television business, making history,

money, and gaining fame. Executives offer him contracts and start paying him online. Even

without a doubt, there are no exaggerated high hopes.

Excitedly, fans affectionately nickname him "MINDBOGLER." As audiences eagerly watch his

performances, James maintains his secret lifestyle while occasionally having to confront

Zeonar, a ruthless mastermind villain. Due to his expectations of being the "MINDBOGLER,"

James begins to struggle to apprehend Zeonar, who skillfully evades capture, causing havoc

on a global scale.

Balancing his personal and professional life, James uses his gift to subtly assist others. He

amasses wealth within the entertainment industry while maintaining a significant sphere of

influence.

MINDBOGLER. I love the name, real super hero title that could fit in with the darker side of comic book culture.

I would suggest looking at 2000AD comic book style storytelling. I'm sure you'll find alot to expand on.

Good luck :)

Hey! I've been taken three pitch sessions on this. Its extraordinary how I realize that I had to be confidence to break the concept down and answering unexpected questions. Interesting to know. Thank you for that suggestion, but I only do short and film scripts in related to this character.
