Renee Edd has been acting since the age of 8 when she beat out the entire 3rd grade class for the role of Mary Poppins. She’s represented by Pastorini-Bosby and has studied at HSPVA, NYU, UT Film and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She’s been teaching acting in Houston since 2002 – most recently at Next Actor Studio and Kim Terry Studio. She graduated with honors with a degree in Film from the University of Texas at Austin. Her screenplays have been finalists in the Austin Film Festival & The Texas Film Institute Competition. As head of Pendragon Productions South, she’s directed and/or produced several short films, commercials and videos including the recent HD short - “Midsummer” which previewed at the Houston Sneak Peek in August 2010, "When We Dance" which screened at the first Austin Student Film Festival & the 8mm Film Festival. Recent projects include projects for Texas Laporoscopic Clinic and a music video for Dallas band, "The Ramonalisas". She is currently in development for her first feature film "Moonglow". She has worked with MTV News, Rolling Stone Magazine and ABC-TV in New York and interviewed everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Eartha Kitt, Ted Nugent, The Wallflowers, Huey Lewis and Erasure. Her recent acting credits include the feature "The Art of Killing Big Foot", "Conjecture", and "Escape From the Ladies Room". She can also be seen in the upcoming "Behind Closed Doors", "Katy Nation" and "Burned". She sang before she spoke and in addition to a number of musical theater credits (including Jekyll & Hyde at TUTS) she is the lead singer of the Popular 80's Cover Band "The Lost Boys."
