Karen Sandler

Karen Sandler is a WGA member and novelist whose career as a software engineer for a DOD contractor took a sharp U-turn when she quit to write full-time. While she’s never met a genre she doesn’t like, she has a particular fondness for sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. She enjoys deep dives into character, problem-solving story structure, and plumbing her wealth of life experience to build multi-layered worlds and universes. She's the author of 23 published books, including the YA sci-fi Tankborn Trilogy which Karen and her writing partner, Regina Ainsworth, are adapting for television. Recombined, a short film written by Karen and directed by Regina, is based on Tankborn's universe.
