About Misti

After enrolling in the Radio, Television, and Film program at the University of North Texas in 2007, Misti honed her creative talents as she wrote, directed, and produced a plethora of film and video projects both in the studio and in the field.

During her last semester at UNT in the spring of 2010, Misti co-wrote and produced the period horror film, Wretched Spectacle, complete with circus tents and a freak show atmosphere. She also produced the gritty father-son drama Patriarchy, while fulfilling various roles on other student projects.

Both Wretched Spectacle and Patriarchy made the festival rounds in 2011. Patriarchy won an award for best Faith-Based/Inspirational Film at the Glen Rose Neo-Relix Film Festival in September 2011.

She founded a production company, VioletSnarl Productions, LLC , last year with partners Matthew Stocks and Christopher T. Malone. The two films she produced for VioletSnarl are currently in post-production, IT Happens, her first feature credit, and Matryoshka, a powerful family-centered short.

Misti is also currently Second Assistant Directing the web series Bail Out.
