SYNOPSIS:

When her mother dies and her sister runs off with a dude ranch cowboy, Billie Clark finds herself living under the thumb of her controlling father, Bert, a powerful Wall Street banker who’s determined that she land a wealthy husband who’ll give her a ‘fabulous’ proper life.

With no allies and no other options, the dutiful girl is resigned to life in a gilded cage. Then Fate issues a reprieve when President Franklin Roosevelt dispatches Bert to California to save the banks from the Great Depression.

While Bert’s busy making deals, Billie sneaks off to take flying lessons and falls in love with Andy, her handsome instructor.
