GENRE: Romance

A sheltered young woman falls in love with her dashing but penniless flight instructor, putting her on a collision course with her domineering father, a powerful Wall Street banker.

When her mother dies and her sister runs off with a dude ranch cowboy, Billie Clark finds herself living under the thumb of her controlling father, Bert, a powerful Wall Street banker who’s determined that she land a wealthy husband who’ll give her a ‘fabulous’ proper life.

With no allies and no other options, the dutiful girl is resigned to life in a gilded cage. Then Fate issues a reprieve when President Franklin Roosevelt dispatches Bert to California to save the banks from the Great Depression.

While Bert’s busy making deals, Billie sneaks off to take flying lessons and falls in love with Andy, her handsome instructor. It’s all hearts and flowers until Bert uncovers the ruse and tricks Billie into believing that Andy has betrayed her. Who better to heal her broken heart than Bert’s protégée, an uptight young Wall Street hotshot?

With Billie headed toward a tepid society marriage, Andy resurfaces and unmasks Bert’s deception, leaving Billie with a painful choice: face the consequences of defying her formidable father or risk losing her hard-earned wings and the man she loves.
