Chris Olness

I’m a Los Angeles based writer/director currently developing character driven thrillers with underlying love stories for film and TV. My studio, indie and brand storytelling experience includes Satin distributed by Warner Bros. and Showtime. Levis Brand film Coming Home - AFI FEST premier. My career began in visual effects editorial for George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) on films such as; Star Wars, Mission Impossible, Men in Black, Twister, Lost World - Jurassic Park. I was an American Film Institute (AFI) Directing Fellow and Sundance Lab writing semifinalist. I’ve studied acting with Larry Moss and Emmy winner Jeffrey Tambor. Recently, I completed screenwriting workshops with Corey Mandell and Robert McKee. I have a B.A. in Mass Communications from U.C. Berkeley. My mission is to inspire a diverse creative community of talent to collaborate with efficient workflow to produce thrilling high quality stories that captivate the audience and enrich lives.
