About Farook

BA Hons Creative Industries. Occupation: Librarian. Aspiration: Writer.
From the age of five I begun to design and create with full comprehension of what I was trying to achieve. I grew learning about techniques, I grew to understand the media, television and film. I went to university and absorbed everything that I possibly could so that I would be able to write the best stories out there. To this day I have worked for a news website, written blogs, written and published a Romance novel, written a number of (unpublished) children’s books, written teleplays, screenplays and X-Men fan-fiction. My aspiration remains; to be acknowledged for my writing, be acclaimed and to have an established career.
People in the industry I look up to are showrunners such as Greg Berlanti, Jon Favreau and Gloria Calderon Kellett. Within film I would love to work within Disney+ to be involved with creating for Marvel Studios alongside Kevin Feige. I am a massive Star Wars fan. I admire the people above and aspire to work alongside all of them. I write sci-fi, superhero, romance and political. I want to bring emotion to the audience with the way my characters or my storytelling comes to life and I hope that I get the opportunity to fulfil my truest potential.
Growing up I took influence from Boy Meets World, X-Men, Captain Planet and most things Disney. My favourite film is The Crow, written by James O’Barr and made by Alex Proyas. I loved 1990’s Ninja Turtles movie and most recently I am a huge fan of Marvel’s Infinity War movie and Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian. I especially adore The Mandalorian because it’s one show I can truly say “I can’t make this any better.” Not to put myself down, but I know I can add to most things on screen by my character development skills or longevity in storytelling. The Mandalorian is as close to perfect as can be in my opinion.
I hope to live a life beyond my dreams. I hope to live out of a suitcase and hotels because I have to travel to locations for various movie shoots and TV episodes. I want to be deep in the industry and I want to become revered.

Unique traits: Having ideas and answers for everything.
