Danielle Ramaekers

Hi!

I am a New Zealand born writer and yoga teacher who loves collecting stories on the road.

I've been snowboarding in Lake Tahoe and globe-trotting across Europe. I've lived in Barcelona, hiked Machu Picchu and dived with magical manta rays in Borneo.

In between bouts of fun-filled excursions, I studied to become a qualified naturopath and, more recently, digital marketer. Often I share my wanderlust as tips and inspirations for living a creative, healthy life. But after travel restrictions caused me to seek escape in a creative writing course, I took to spinning those stories into fiction. It’s proved to be as adventurous as travel.

I love fantasy and horror in a way that seems at odds with downward-facing dogs. Then again, stories are everywhere, even on the mat. I live at home near the beach in Auckland with my family and a French Bulldog named Lola.
