A vulnerable girl caught up in her parents own issues. Confused and abused, she tries to cope with her life.

SYNOPSIS:

Charlotte's episode starts in the present day. A drug addict in a shabby flat, her future and job all lost. We see flashbacks to her childhood, and gradually it becomes apparent why her life has ended up this way. But are we sure? Do we really know? It is not until the end of the episode that the real truth is revealed.We see Charlotte caught in the middle of her mother's toxic marriage to her stepfather.As a small child Charlotte is desperate to make her mother happy, which backfires much to her confusion. As a diversion she focuses on her running which leads her to being an Olympic hopeful. You see the mother and daughter relationship deteriorate even further as the years go by, and Charlotte's inability to make the right decisions affects her deeply.
