Alex Pickering

Alex debuted as an extra in The Ring Cycle with the State Opera of South Australia in 2004.

He has since worked in the Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Comeout Festival.

In 2009 he wrote, stage managed, played the lead role and was assistant director for his end of year school play, Reflections, which was received with high praise.

He has studied at several NIDA summer courses and will soon complete his third year at SA Casting under Ann Peters.

His most recent roles were in California Suite (2011), To Kill A Mockingbird (2012) and Pride and Prejudice (2012).

He was a Prefect in his final year at Glenunga International High School, and was selected as a student representative for the National Young Leaders Day.

At graduation in 2011 he was presented with the Azizah Sawers International Award, Outstanding Achievement in a Research Project and Outstanding Effort in Drama.

He is currently studying a double degree in Education and Drama at Flinders University.
