Joanne Verikios is a multi-award-winning author, co-producer and art director; as well as a champion powerlifter, passionate equestrian, recreational bellydancer, novice karate student and experienced property investor and renovator.
Her book, "Winning Horsemanship. A Judge's Secrets and Tips for Your Success", won a WINNIE Award for International Equine Training at the 2020 Equus Film & Arts Fest in Lexington, Kentucky USA plus the Honorable Mention in the Non-Fiction - Sports category at the 1917 Readers' Favorite Annual International Book Award Contest.
Joanne is credited as Co-Producer and Art Director of the short film "5 Moons of Pluto", which won multiple awards at the South Film and Arts Academy Festival (SFAAF – Chile) including Best Indie Short Film, Best Art Direction and Production Honourable Mention.
Joanne is also the author of "Smoke and Mirror Balls" a screenplay (as yet unproduced) commissioned by a person of interest to the Fitzgerald Inquiry.
A lifelong story teller, Joanne is known for her skills as a wordsmith and her sense of humour.
Joanne is married and lives on the Redlands Coast in Queensland.
